What Is Homecoming?
Homecoming is a Special Sunday service set aside once a year to visit a church you previously attended. Every church's homecoming is different, Here ate Second Baptist we celebrate the return and fellowship of friends old and new with a special lunch after the service. The Service will begin out of "normal" order; the sermon will be given first, then we have the music portion of our worship service. Once the service has concluded the congregation invites all guests both old and new to come out to lunch with the entire congregation.
Why Participate in Homecoming?
Individuals participate in Church Homecomings for various reasons, however we encourage participation to rekindle old friendships or even make new ones! We always love seeing friends, whether we have met before or are meeting for the first time- all are welcome here.
